Its rolling elements of crossed roller slewing ring are cylindrical rollers arranged in a 90° V-groove crossing pattern and separated by spacers. The special line contact provides stiffness far exceeding ball bearings, and it's also capable of mirco-positioning.

Different from point contact in ball bearings, its line contact offers 3 to 4 times higher rigidity than conventional ball bearings. It prevents deformation under heavy loads and minimizes vibration during operation.
