Crossed roller slewing bearings
Crossed roller slewing bearings have exceptional performance which benefits from a precise and unique structural design, enabling it to simultaneously withstand complex loads-including axial forces, radial forces, and tilting moments-within a singl, compact unit. The essence of the crossed roller slewing bearing lies in the arrangement of its rolling elements. Different from traditional ball bearings, it utilizes cylindrical rollers alternately and orthogonally at a 90° angle within V-shaped raceways. Adjacent rollers are typically separated and guided by spacers.
Features & performance advantages
Its 1:1 crossed arrangement creates extensive line contact between the rollers and the raceways. Compared to the point contact in ball bearings, line contact distributes loads more evenly, endowing the bearing with exceptional rigidity and load-carrying capacity.

FAQ
1. Why is it necessary to use precision spacers instead of traditional cages in crossed roller slewing bearings?
Traditional cages typically only provide point or partial suport for rolling elements. In contrast, precision spacers provide full-length support and guidance for each roller. This structural design effectively prevents the rollers from tilting, skewing or rubbing against each other during operation.
2. What can we benefit from the precision spacers?
This design not only ensures stable rotational torque and reduces friction but also significantly enhances the overall rotational precision and load-bearing rigidity of the slewing bearings, especially under preloaded conditions.
