What Is a Slewing Bearing?
A slewing bearing (also called a slew ring or rotation bearing) is a large-diameter rolling-element bearing designed to support combined loads - axial, radial, and moment (tilting) loads - simultaneously, while allowing a rotating platform to turn smoothly relative to a fixed base.
